Your Name: HammerHead
Your Email Address: dd@dd.com
Subject: Solution: White Screen of Death
Message: I had this problem - the thing kept on shutting down after it was switched on. I found a solution by accident (bear in mind it may be voodoo, but it worked) - Switch it on, then before it shuts down, just keep pressing the red button, may be 100 times, if you do this repeatably it should fix the problem. Anyhow it work for me. Good Luck, I know it\'s annoying, I was about to toss mine out of the window :)

Solve:
You did not include your mobile company serving you. I think you should give you a master reset of your mobile. Cheers !

Solve:
On a Series 60 based phone, two key sequences will allow to restore your phone to a cleaner state:

Normal Reset (*#7780#) : Restores ini files from rom but preserves user data (photos, 3rd party apps etc)

Deep Reset (*#7370#) : This reformats completely the C: drive. All applications and files stored on this drive will be lost and clean default files will be rewritten.

In both case, the phone will ask you a confirmation and you will have to enter a security code (12345 by default).

Files and applications stored on E: drive are not be affected by these sequences.

Your Name: JOhn Ali
Your Email Address: johnali@fastermail.com
Subject: sim card destroyer
Message: Dear pls i lost my sim card and i want to divert both the message centre number and call divert to my new sim card.
http://www.homotron.net/images/homotron/att-logo.jpg
Solve:
Diverting message centre number is not available in every mobile. But you can divert incoming calls in your new sim card.
Mobile menu > Settings > Call settings > Call divert > Enter mobile number to divert.

As you say that your sim card was lost. So you need to meet your sim provider's service center. Then tell to Call divert. They will help you.

Best you collect the old sim number from service center.

Problem Solution LG CHOCOLATE VX8500

Problem :
I have the new chocolate phone, but I am unable to send anything through the blue tooth, is there any way of unlocking it so i can transfer my files?

Solution-1 :

Your Default Code is 1234

Solution-2 :
the phone lock is a separate issue to the bluetooth one,
because a phone is locked to the provider it should not stop bluetooth from working both ways.
So to unlock the phone you need to contact the provider.
the bluetooth prob this is a direct link between the phone and another device ( ie your pc ) the image you are trying to send maybe right protected and this might be what is stopping it from transfering

Solution-3 :
ive tried that but it doesn't work either, just because your phone might do it(your isn't a chocolate vx8500) doesn't mean every other phone might do it, the only thing you can do with bluetooth that ive been able to use is send a name card

Problem : Ring tones Format

i just bought the new lg scoop from all tel but it won't let me put my ring tones off of my SD memory card onto the phone. if the card is in the phone, i can play the music all i want, but I can't set them as ring tones.Any suggestions or solutions?

Solution-1 :
if you have someone send you an audio file through text/pics...
save the file, go to settings on your phones menu, go to sound, go to ringers, go to shuffle, select list and it should take you to the ringtone list and select the song you want.
found that out from a friend who has the same phone as me.. but it only works if someone sends you a ringtone in a message.

Solution-2 :
Convert your music via mp3 converter then upload them in your mobile/SD card.

Solution-3 :
oh first you havta go to multimedia and shuffle, ringtone list and it will say folder is emtpy add items and then you can add the songs and do the steps i mentioned before...

Problem :
i am trying to ringtones from my computerr to my lg shinee...they are in mp3 format but when i put them....i go under audio and ringtones....but when i go to that ringtone it does not allow me to apply it as a ringtone?? how come??

Solution :
  • I’ve been having the same problem in trying to find a way to set my music as ringtones. Here’s what you can do:
-Make sure the file is appropriate.. 30 seconds or less, mp3 format
-When you add your music to the memory card, it shows up as a song but not as a ringtone right?

  • Simply import your ringtone file to http://makeownringtone.com/ and redownload the ringtone and then copy and paste the file onto your microsd card.
  • You have to somehow cut the song down to UNDER 300KB. From there, the only way I've been able to work is to literally e-mail my song file from my computer, to my phone as a text message. This is the only luck I've had, lemme know if you have any luck. You can e-mail the song file as an attatchment in an e-mail to your cell phone's TXT messaging address, which should be this:
0000000000@mms.att.net
The zero's being your cell phone number (Including area code)
From there, simply open the text message once received on your phone (Can take up to 5 minutes) and then go to options>view attachment>select the sound file>save
