The super thin Samsung D830 is also known as the Samsung SGH-D830 & is one of the thinnest Samsung handsets to hit the mobile phone market. The D830 is a Ultra Edition 9.9 mobile phone as it is only 9.9 mm in thickness which is easy for the user to hold & handle. The handset has a distinctive design & has a clams hell opening mechanism. 1.Charlotte: It just keeps saying call rejected ....is it blocked?? I took it in part exchange for some work and think i have been clobbered!

3.Bistess: I have a d830 which brings up "limited service" which I'm guessing they have blocked it. Would anyone mind telling me what I need to do, flash it? What do I need to be able to do this.

2.Ans: Follow these steps to setup MXit on your Samsung D830

I: Get correct GPRS settings for your phone:
· CellC users: Dial *147#
· MTN users: Dial *123*13#
· Virgin Mobile users: Go to the Virgin Mobile menu on your phone and select "Virgin Settings". When prompted to download the settings, reply "YES".
· Vodacom users: Dial *111# (select option 4 or 5)
· International users: go to www.samsungmobile.com select your country and follow the steps on the site on how to obtain your GPRS settings.
Once you receive the settings, save them and set them as your phone's default GPRS internet settings.

II: Make a change to your phone's default internet profile:
1. On your phone, go to "Menu" - "Browser" - "Profile settings"
2. Scroll to your default GPRS profile
3. Press "Options"
4. Select "Edit"
5. Scroll down to the "Proxy" setting
6. Select "Disable"
7. Save the GPRS profile

OR THIS MIGHT BE THE FOLLOWING ON YOUR PHONE:
1. On your phone, go to "Menu" - "Settings" - "Connection settings"
2. Scroll down to your phone's default internet profile
3. Press "Options"
4. Select "Edit"

Out of the whole Ultra series, the D830 might appear to be the most appealing. It turns out to be the most disappointing. The actual performance is nowhere near to the potential that we expected at the product announcement. The D830 is a very attractive super slim phone, with a very good range of features. However, it is let down in three areas. Firstly the keypad is slow and unresponsive. Secondly, battery life is very poor. Thirdly, the camera has no flash.
