Samsung U900 Soul with Diagram

Introduction:

The U900 is Samsung's flagship phone of 2008. It's a super-sexy super-slim slide phone that looks very "2008" with its dual-screen touch-sensitive controls and metal casing. With a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus, 3G video calling, MP3 player, FM radio and plenty of memory it should tick most people's boxes. The only reason we haven't awarded it 5 stars is because some people think that the ringtone and call volume are too quiet. Available in Graphite, Silver or Pink.Samsung Soul boasts "Magic Touch" which means the navigation indicators on the keypad of the phone change according to the user's needs. When in camera mode, camera related icons such as zoom and brightness icons will appear. Music-wise, the MP3 playing phone boasts a digital power amplifier by Bang & Olufsen ICEpower.

Problems:

1.Ahred: Hi,I ve just bought this phone and dont like the message tone. but i cant figure out to change it? I cant find the option, i can change alarm and ringtone but not message tone. Anyone help please?

2.Maximus: I have a problem with the speaker in my u900. I followed that solution and i got louder mp3 player, but speaking volume still lower. What have i change in the hack (test) mode of u900 for increase speaking volume?
Solves:

1.Ans: go to settings, then choose phone settings. In phone settings go to phone profiles, normal is highlighted click options, then edit, then ok. Click the right arrow then go to message alert tone, click on options then change and ok. Go to use my alert tone choose your tone go to options and click down and select then ok. Then job done.

2.Ans: Here's the secret formula to configure the volume follow the steps below –

1) Type *#0002*28346#
2) It will bring up a menu:
[1] Load Params
[2] Dump Params
[3] Call Config

3) Press Back, and it will bring up another longer menu
4) Key in 3 to bring up SPK Config Menu
5) Then key in 4 to bring up AV-QTune(MP3) menu
6) Key in 1 to bring up SPK MP3 Vol. menu
7) Key in 6 to change the max. volume
8) Input 40 and press OK, it will change to 4.0db default max. volume is -3db. I wouldn't recommend higher than 6.0db because the sound will distort, anything lower will be fine.
9) Once done, press cancel to close the service menu and try to play a mp3 with max. volume. This volume apply for your MP3 Ringtones and Message tones.
