Follow these steps to setup MXit on your Samsung J600
I: Get correct GPRS settings for your phone:
· CellC users: Dial *147#
· MTN users: Dial *123*13#
· Virgin Mobile users: Go to the Virgin Mobile menu on your phone and select "Virgin Settings". When prompted to download the settings, reply "YES".

II: Make a change to your phone's default internet profile:

The fact you cannot assign custom sounds to message tones is a real annoyance and I was going to return the phone because of this, but instead I've decided to keep it and contact Samsung instead to see if they will change the firmware to allow this. Everyone who is also annoyed about this should do the same. surfur:I have purchased sams- j600 as I loved its great look but after using it for a week I came to know that my decision was wrong. Its battery backup is very poor & also its sound quality is not very good to here in a little bit noisy environment and if u go more deep into its features u cannot assign message tones and default ones sounds to low.
