(1) Please help me so I can use it in South america it asks me for an lock code and how can I get spanish language. thank you
(2) Hi Im in dominican republic and ijust got my sidekick LX but it has a locked for the sim how can i unlocked so i can use it here in DR.
(3) I just purchased a t mobile sidekick 3 from the states and I live in Canada. I need an unlock code. Does anyone know how to obtain this code or what it is?

1.your sim needs a password
2.turn off ur sidekick 3
3.place ur cingular card in
4.turn on sidekick 3
5.itz gunna ask you for a special code ignore it
6. go to settings den sim center
7. if ur sim lock is disabled jus enable it
8.den change ur sin pin to wateva you want
9.once u change it you will signals bars go up
10.go 2 settings network options
11. press scan scan select manually
12. select ur network
13. and datz it your sim iz workin on sidekick 3
if u turn it off u will have 2 do da same process again

i found a website that onlycharges 7.99 to unlock your phone they unlocked mine and it works (well only talking and texting but thats pretty much all a unlcked phone is good for and exactly what i expected) the website is http://www.wirelessunlocking.com/ simple name right

There are some people and ebay sellers out there who will offer to unlock your phone for a price, but really be careful of those because I haven't heard of one that was verified yet to be legit.

furthermore, even if you COULD unlock it, the only features that would be usable on any other network would be the phone itself (voice) and text messaging..

The data side is tied into the carrier the phone was created for so it wouldn't do you any good, you wouldn't be able to browse, download games, email or anything other than phone and text messaging.

Why such a difference in price for unlock code?

The first, the $5 or $10 unlock is a privacy code, it will work, once, however there are issues with it and it does not permenantly unlock your phone.

The second, is a simple code you enter in your phone, it will be unlocked forever, downside, it can take 1-2 weeks to get the unlock code, but you will be happier that you have done it right.
